Dr Ulrike Lorch joins the leadership team at the Faculty of Human Pharmacology

Richmond Pharmacology’s Medical Director, Dr Ulrike Lorch, has been appointed Director of Human Pharmacology for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Management (FPM).

The Director of Human Pharmacology is a new position with oversight for the Diploma in Human Pharmacology programme, a qualification which equips medical doctors with the skills and experience to become Principal Investigators for early phase clinical research – particularly first in human studies.

Ulrike has been actively involved in the development of the clinical workforce for many years. Having needed to carve her own development pathway in pharmacology in the early stage of her career, she recognised the importance of good mentors and practical learning. Building on her own experiences and the training of Research Physicians at Richmond Pharmacology, she was instrumental in the formation of the Clinical Pharmacology Skills Alliance alongside the ABPI and the BPS and the FPM’s Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training curriculum.
